Preparations for the 2010 WDC AL OPEN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS are going smoothly and entries continue to come in. The entire team are looking forward to making Disneyland, Paris 2010 a memorable affair with friendship and freedom high on the agenda. A highly praiseworthy factor is that these are truly open, all inclusive competitions and dancers from all groups and organisations are welcome to compete. Dancers want to dance and Disneyland Paris provides that opportunity.

Entries are currently some 20% higher than last year which augers well for a very successful event and some interesting and high quality competitions. Of particular interest is that there are many entries from couples who have not danced WDC AL events previously and there is no doubt they will enjoy the wonderful ambiance which is always created. They will appreciate the bond between competitors, adjudicators and organiser. Each are a close knit unit working to the good of all.

As can be expected from WDC AL events adjudicating panels featuring the most knowledgeable and highly experienced persons will be on duty. All are steeped in dance knowledge and dance experience and they have studied hard for years to reach their position. Dancers can be content that every mark will be given only after serious consideration.

For the first time there will not only be the WDC World Ranking Series Professional competitions in Ballroom and Latin but also Rising Stars Professional events. As well as World Championships for Amateurs of all age groups from Juvenile to Senior competitors will have the opportunity to also dance in the Disney Cup events.
