Russia will for the first time host

WDC World Series Ranking Competitions on the 17th/18th March at the Moscow Star Championship,

organised by the National Dance League, Russia.

There will be both Professional Latin and Ballroom Championships but the Professional Ballroom event will be the qualification event for the WDC European Professional Ballroom Championship, which will take place in Kremlin on the 21st of April.

The 12 best European couples at Moscow Star (excluding nominated couples and wild cards) will be added to the list of participants of European Ballroom Championship, the first Open European Ballroom Championship.

A wonderful opportunity for European couples not nominated by their country or selected as wild cards to dance in the European Championship. For the avoidance of doubt this means everybody can dance , but only European couples are considered for qualification to the European Championship..

WDC OPEN WORLD PROFESSIONAL LATIN CHAMPIONSHIP 2012

19th/20th OCTOBER, 2012
INNSBRUCK, AUSTRIA

On the 19th/20th October, 2012 Innsbruck, Austria will proudly play host to the World’s first

Open World Professional Latin Championship

and preparations for a spectacular event are well in hand.

21 years experience in presenting top class dance competitions in Innsbruck Mr Ferry Polai ensures 2012 will be a truly memorable Championship. The venue will be the splendid Olympia Park Hall where many important events and concerts take place, and which is one of the Premier venues in Innsbruck.

On the 19th October there will be the qualification event for the World Championship and the 20th October the main event. 36 couples will qualify for the World Championship proper on the next day !

However Innsbruck will become the centre of attraction the dancing world for 5 wonderful days when from Tuesday 16th, there will commence a Congress/Training Camp running until Thursday 18th.

Those conducting the lectures and lessons will be

Espen Salberg, Massimo Giorgianni, Rudolf Trautz, Ralf Lephene, Steve Powell, Sergey Ryupin, Denise Abrate, Richard Porter, Ruud Vermey and Hannes Emrich.
