No penalties for German couples by the German Dance Sport Association
No penalties for German couples by the German Dance Sport Association DTV for participation in the WDSF unsanctioned tournaments!
Two German couples took part in the WDC AL World Championships 2011 in Paris, and were punished by the WDSF start with a six-month suspension for WDSF events. Reason: Breach of the WDSF Athletes' Code of Conduct and Standards of Ethic (the "Code") by competing in the competition to unregistered (the "Response").
None of the German couples were punished by their federal organisation, the German Dance Sport Association DTV, for taking part in the "unregistered" event.
The DTV, although a member of the WDSF, doesn´t follow the WDSF policy of sanctions. Congratulations!

Re: No penalties for German couples by the German Dance Sport Association
Onyourheels is glad to hear this good news from Germany
With the German history 1933-1945 - it is actually more than common sence the DTV does not follow up on the WDSF discrimination rules. Germany should also remain in the Dance Sport arena a "Musterschueler" and "Musterknabe" - as the Germans say:
"Ein Vorzeigemodell" -
Let's hope it's not a mistake by the managers of the DTV..... Maybe the ban will hit them as well?
So: next step is: all DTV couples dance in the DPV_AL comps and are not banned. From the same token: All DPV AL couples can dance in the DTV competitions! How is that, folks?
Don’t forget: We are in the Freedom to Dance business!
However, maybe the first step is taken for the good in dancing - is there light at the end in the tunnel?
Onyourheels will watch closely!
